The Nehru Museum of Science and Technology is a museum in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. It was founded in 1990 at the Hijli Detention camp building, later the IIT-Kharagpur Heritage Building, which is now named as Hijli Saheed Bhavan.

With the revival of nationalistic activities during the Second World War, the prison was reopened towards the end of 1940 to detain the prisoners who were placed behind bars without any trial. Since regular forces were busy with the war elsewhere, retired military officers were entrusted with the responsibility of running these special prisons which were not managed by ordinary jail wardens.

Technology Students’ Gymkhana is the hub of the numerous extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in IIT Kharagpur ranging from sports to socio-cultural. The Gymkhana is managed by the students, for the students, under the guidance and active participation of the faculty and staff members.
